Essex County College welcomed Angolan Consul General Augusta Mangueira on Monday, November 21, who toured the campus with ECC’s Dr. Akil Khalfani. She was accompanied by her assistant, Juelma Cardoso.
Ms. Mangueira and Dr. Khalfani, Director of the College’s African Institute and Center for Global Education and Experiences, met last week during a seminar at the African Union in New York. She said she would enjoy visiting the College and discussing what partnerships ECC and Angola can have in the future.
Dr. Khalfani said he wants to start a student exchange program with Angola sometime next year.
