This month marks the 50th anniversary of the Supplemental Security Income (SSI) program, which was created to ensure that people with disabilities wouldn't live in poverty. Bipartisan legislation has been introduced in the U.S. Senate: The SSI Savings Penalty Elimination Act (S.4102) would increase the $2,000 asset limit that non-married SSI recipients are permitted to have. Please take action by urging New Jersey's Senators Booker and Menendez to co-sponsor this important legislation.
