Cost of college was unchanged for all students at Essex County College

In-state tuition and fees were unchanged for 2018-19 at Essex County College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New Jersey residents paid $8,790 to attend the two-year public institution in both the 2017-18 and 2018-19 academic years.

Non-resident students would have paid the same amount as residents this year, or $8,790. Non-resident tuition and fees were unchanged from $8,790 in 2017-18.

100 percent of the school's undergraduate population are New Jersey residents.

Data shows 76 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 942 students received grants or scholarships totaling $5.5 million and 14 students took out student loans totaling more than $69,181.

Including all undergraduates (7,514), 5,108 students used grants or scholarships totaling $26.4 million.
