Cost of college went up for all students at Pillar College

Tuition and fees rose 3 percent for 2018-19 at Pillar College, according to recent data from the U.S. Department of Education.

New Jersey students paid $21,700 to attend the four-year private not-for-profit institution this year – $624 more than the $21,076 charged for 2017-18.

Data shows 59 percent of full-time undergraduates who started school in 2015-16 received student financial aid in some form. In all, 29 students received grants or scholarships totaling $381,938 and 13 students took out student loans totaling more than $61,974.

Including all undergraduates (584), 383 students used grants or scholarships totaling $4.3 million, and 278 students took out $2.2 million in federal student loans.
