Two members of the New Jersey Devils organization have been named to Team USA’s staff for the 2026 Winter Olympic Games in men’s ice hockey. Tom Fitzgerald, general manager of the Devils, will join as part of the management staff, while Chris Scoppetto will serve as equipment manager.
Fitzgerald previously served as an assistant general manager for Team USA at the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off. His experience with international play includes representing the United States as a player at the 1989 and 1991 IIHF World Championships and at the 1987 IIHF World Junior Championship.
Scoppetto, known by many as “Frosty,” was also part of Team USA’s staff during the 2025 4 Nations Face-Off. He has supported U.S. teams as equipment manager at several major tournaments: the IIHF Men’s World Championship in 2011, 2017, 2019, and 2022, and he contributed to Team USA’s efforts at the 2004 World Cup.
“Frosty” has supported the United States as equipment manager at the 2011, ’17, ’19 and ’22 IIHF Men’s World Championship. He also helped Team USA at the 2004 World Cup.
