Pillar College enrolls 505 undergrads

At Pillar College, 68 percent of undergraduate students are nontraditional students - age 25 or older - and 73 percent are female, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year private not-for-profit institution in Newark enrolled 584 students in fall 2018, including 505 in undergraduate and 79 in graduate programs, data shows. 8.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

91 percent of undergraduates are residents of New Jersey, and 9 percent are residents of other states.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as Hispanic or Latino (46 percent) and Black or African American (29 percent).
