64 percent of applicants to the New Jersey Institute of Technology were admitted for fall 2018

At the New Jersey Institute of Technology, 84 percent of undergraduate students are traditional students - age 24 or younger - and 75 percent are male, according to the latest disclosure from the U.S. Department of Education.

The four-year public institution in Newark enrolled 11,423 students in fall 2018, including 8,532 in undergraduate and 2,891 in graduate programs, data shows. 10.3 percent of undergraduates transferred from another college or university.

90 percent of undergraduates are residents of New Jersey, and 6 percent are residents of other states. 4 percent are citizens of foreign countries.

The undergraduate student body is comprised mostly of students who identify as white (32 percent) and Asian (22 percent).

The school admitted 64 percent of the 8,123 students who applied for fall 2018. Of those who were admitted, 25 percent enrolled.
