The New Jersey Devils have recalled defenseman Seamus Casey from the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League. Casey is joining the team in Denver following an injury to defenseman Brett Pesce, who suffered an upper-body injury on Sunday and will not be traveling with the team. Devils head coach Sheldon Keefe confirmed Pesce’s absence for the upcoming trip.
Last season, Casey appeared in 14 games for the Devils, scoring four goals and recording eight points. In 30 games with Utica, he registered three goals and 18 points. After missing the start of this season due to injury, Casey recently returned to play for Utica and recorded one assist in his only game so far.
According to Amanda Stein, “Seamus Casey is on his way and will meet #NJDevils in Denver.” https://t.co/BY2LYMPpcA
