New Jersey Devils prospect David Rozsival aims for pro roster spot in Czechia

David Rozsival, a forward selected by the New Jersey Devils in the sixth round (161st overall) of the 2025 NHL Draft, spent the 2024-25 season playing for Bili Tygri Liberec in Czechia. Rozsival played five games with the main club but did not record any points. In addition, he appeared in 30 games for Bili Tygri Liberec’s U20 team, scoring 17 goals and collecting 20 assists for a total of 37 points.

Rozsival is set to return to Bili Tygri Liberec next season, aiming to secure a spot on the professional roster.

He is the nephew of former NHL defenseman Mikael Rozsival. Speaking about his uncle’s influence, David Rozsival said: “He’s helped me a lot. He always calls me when something happens and gives me good advice. It’s great for me to have him because he’s played in this league.”
