The New Jersey Devils have assigned forward Brian Halonen to the Utica Comets of the American Hockey League.

Halonen, who is 26 years old, appeared in nine games for the Devils during this season and scored one goal. This goal marked his first in the NHL and was recorded on November 1 in a game against the Los Angeles Kings.
