U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement’s (ICE) Newark Field Office announced on X the arrest of Jorge German Aglony, a 66-year-old Chilean national convicted of elder abuse and child sexual abuse material offenses.
According to ICE’s “Worst of the Worst” list, Aglony was arrested by ICE Newark on September 26, 2025. Of these, approximately 92% had convictions or pending charges for serious crimes, reflecting the agency’s focus on individuals posing public safety risks.
The National Center for Missing & Exploited Children (NCMEC) received over 36 million reports of online child sexual abuse material in 2023. Federal and local law enforcement collaborate through task forces to identify offenders and protect victims of exploitation.
U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) is a federal agency under the Department of Homeland Security responsible for enforcing immigration laws, investigating transnational crimes, and managing detention and removal operations.
