Devils defeat Islanders 6-2 in preseason matchup at Prudential Center

The New Jersey Devils secured a 6-2 victory over the New York Islanders in a preseason game at Prudential Center on September 24, 2025. The game was available for fans to watch on MSGSN and MSGSN2 or listen to via the Devils Hockey Network.

In the first period, goaltender Markstrom made several key saves to keep the Devils in control. The Devils built momentum into the second period with Connor Brown scoring to extend their lead to 3-1. Dawson Mercer followed up with another goal from the top of the right circle, increasing the advantage.

During the third period, Ethan Edwards scored after a video review confirmed that he had pushed the puck just across the goal line against Islanders goalie Tristan Lennox. Evgenii Dadonov added another goal from close range, putting the Devils ahead by five goals.
